Kakitangan Kerajaan Memang Kera Pun!!

Kakitangan Kerajaan Memang Kera Pun!!

Ulamak chief says Pas is the biggest in PR. DAP to lose out because of Fernandez

Ulamak chief says Pas is the biggest in PR. DAP to lose out because of Fernandez

KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Ulamak chief Datuk Harun Taib says he fears that the DAP will be the one to lose out following its Johore deputy chairman Norman Fernandez’s damning remarks against Pas.

He said Pas is the biggest party in Pakatan Rakyat and what Fernandez had said against Pas may cause DAP to lose out on votes from Pas supporters.

Speaking to The Mole today Harun was commenting Fernandez’s statement urging Johoreans to “think hard and deep if PAS is really worthy of their votes” and that hefor one have finally made up my mind and am convinced that PAS does not deserve my vote.”

“As it is, Pas has the biggest number of support and it is increasing by days.”

“I fear that the DAP will suffer from the effect of his (Fernandez) statement and not us. DAP may lose out on Pas’ votes for such remarks.”

However, Harun said Pas will continue to campaign for Pakatan Rakyat.

“Even though he (Fernandez) asked people not to vote for Pas…let people say what they want. But for Pas, we will keep campaigning for people to vote Pakatan,” he added.

In his writing which was widely circulated, Fernandez asked the people of Johor to think thoroughly on whether Pas is worthy of their votes.

He further wrote: “In Johor, the Johor PAS continuous to maintain an elegant silence and have thus far has failed and refused to make a open and clear stand if it supports the imposition of hudud in Johor and if it will change the weekend from Sunday to Friday. In Johor, Johoreans including me as a voter, have a right to demand that Johor PAS state their stand.

What is certain is that PAS is clearly insistent and hell-bent in imposing its own values, idealism and policies on others and in truth despite the various overtures to non-muslims cares two hoots about non-muslims or the feelings of non-muslims.”

Harun said Pas will not demand Fernandez to apologise.

“It is up for him (Fernandez) to decide.”

Harun also said that it is up to the DAP whether to take action against Fernandez or not.

PSM says Pas supporters attacked its operation centre

KUALA  LUMPUR: Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM)  says its Kota Damansara’s election operation centre was attacked by a trio of Pas supporters today.

In a telephone interview, its national treasurer A. Sivarajan told The Mole that the office was attacked by three individuals who he claims were from Pas.

When asked if he was sure the individuals were from Pas, Sivarajan said: “Yes, they are Pas members.”

Narrating the incident, Sivarajan said: “Around 2.20pm today, while I was in our bilik gerakan (operations centre) three guys dressed in Pas t-shirts started shouting at us alleging that we took down their party flags.”

“They were asking for our party chairman Dr Nasir’s (Dr Nasir Hashim) number and a few other numbers of our polling officers.”

“We told them to go and make a report to the Election Commission instead of coming to our office and making a big noise,” Sivarajan added.

According to Sivarajan the trio then started taking photographs of the place and left shortly in two cars and on one motorbike.

Sivarajan said he lodged a report about the incident at the Kota Damansara police station shortly after.

“After the report was made, the police came over to our centre and started their investigation.”

He also said that all the five PSM volunteers and himself who were present when the Pas supporters came were not harmed.

“This is actually the second incident…on nomination day (April 20), after Pas has announced to field their candidate in Kota Damansara, we had received a lot of calls and text messages informing us that a group of people were intending to attack us.”

“Fortunately nothing happened,” he said.

Sivarajan has also questioned the motive behind the incident as Pas who has agreed to withdraw its candidate from the Kota Damansara state constituency to make way for PSM’s Dr Nasir to contest under the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) ticket.

He said, ”Pas secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali already said that it will not field its candidate Razali Ismail to contest here and things were all good between PSM and Pas.”

“Yet, the Pas candidate was seen campaigning here, in areas such as the Pekan Subang market and Bandar Pinggiran Subang.”

“This is against the decision of the Pas headquarters, ” he added.                                                                                                                                                                                                     Dr Nasir is facing a five-cornered fight against Barisan Nasional candidate Halimatun Saadiah Bohan and three independents Edrus Abdullah, Halmi Omar and A Suppiah.

In the last general election in 2008, Dr Nasir defeated Barisan Nasional candidate Zein Isma Ismail with a 1,075 majority.

There are 44,992 voters in Kota Damansara of which 56 percent are Malays, 29 percent Chinese and 13 per cent Indians.

Pegawai SPR didakwa catat nombor siri kertas undi pos

What is the real threat to Hinduism?

What is the real threat to Hinduism?

In an email to the Editor, P.M. Sivalingam wrote:

“Much noise has been made by the Opposition about BN’s choice for Shah Alam, Zulkifli Noordin. When he was a PAS member, he undeniably made some ignorant and disrespectful remarks about Hindus. After becoming a BN friendly candidate, he has finally (and long overdue!) apologised for it, twice.

He never apologised when he was a PAS member all those years ago.

He never apologised when he stood on a PKR ticket for the 2008 elections and won in a seat with more 20% of the voters are Hindus!

He never apologized when he was Anwar Ibrahim’s personal family lawyer.

Furthermore, the leaders of PAS and PKR never told him what he did was wrong. For 10 years, Anwar and Hadi never bothered about Zul’s remarks. Their cries of anger against Zulkifli now are clearly motivated purely by political considerations. Even a child can tell that they are only using this politics and don’t really care about what he did.

On the other hand, MIC leaders immediately criticized him for saying what he did and, have since accepted his apologies. BN has made a clear stand that any racist statements from any BN representative that is disrespectful to the culture and beliefs of any group will be dealt with severely by a joint disciplinary group.

So what is the real threat to Hinduism behind this smokescreen of anger about 10-year old remarks by a former PAS member?

The real threat to Hinduism, and indeed to Christianity, Buddhism etc. is the FACT that PAS is adamant about implementing Hudud. They have said that the DAP disagrees but will NOT oppose it. God only knows what that means.

The latest Anwar has said on this is; “for now, in general, in principle, I believe this (Hudud) can be implemented”. Again, good luck interpreting what Anwar means.

Meanwhile, Karpal Singh remains the only consistent figure on this, saying that DAP will never allow Hudud. But Karpal does not control the Lim dynasty-run DAP. The father-son Lims are keeping silent hoping to avoid answering difficult questions about their commitment to non-Muslim Malaysians and indeed to Muslim Malaysians to keep Hudud out of Malaysia.

This lack of agreement amongst Pakatan’s top leaders have led to confusion on the ground in terms of their execution. From bans on women hairdressers for men to the demolition of 7 Hindu temples and shrines by PR State Government’s, the consequence of the lack of agreement on Hudud and the rights of non-Muslims is tangible and clear to see.

So to recap, again I ask; which is the real threat to Hinduism;

1) The stupid ignorant remarks a BN candidate said 10 years ago while he was a PAS member about Hindus,

OR

2) The implementation of Hudud which will affect every aspect of a Hindu’s right to worship as he or she sees fit and threaten the very existence of Hindu temples all across the country?

Zulkifli, for all his obvious faults has apologised. All of us were taught by our parents and our priests et al. and our teachers to forgive when someone apologises for their mistake, to give the person a second chance if he or she comes clean about what they have done wrong.

Anwar, Hadi and Kit Siang have not come clean about their real intentions on forcing Hudud on the Malaysian people. Apologies don’t come easy to this trio who still have not apologised for the 7 Hindu temples and shrines demolished by 3 Pakatan Rakyat state Governments since 2008.

So finally; what is the real threat to Hinduism in this General Election and going forward?”

Najib mendakwa masyarakat kaum India kini mula menerima Zulkifli.

PKR candidate agrees to withdraw to save Pakatan's image

PKR candidate agrees to withdraw to save Pakatan’s image

KUALA LUMPUR: One of the PKR Terengganu candidates who was asked to withdraw from the 13th General Election, said he accepted the party’s decision so as to save Pakatan Rakyat’s image.

Mohd Shamsul Mat Amin told The Mole: “It is our sacrifice for Pakatan Rakyat.”

“I believe the decision is best made not only to avoid losing the people’s support, but also to save the coalition’s image.”

Mohd Shamsul, whose name is up for contest in the Bukit Besi state seat added: “We do not want to be seen as if we are fighting against each other in the polls.”

He said this in response to the statement made by PKR state leader Azan Ismail that the decision to withdraw its candidates for three state seats in the May 5 elections is a sacrifice for Pakatan.

In a press conference Azan reportedly announced that PKR has decided to withdraw its candidates for the three seats and urged PKR supporters to vote for Pas instead.

Those three state seats, Bukit Besi, Seberang Takir and Kota Putera will see a three-cornered fight between Pas, PKR and Barisan Nasional.

When asked to comment on the remarks made by Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang that some of the candidates fielded by PKR a drug peddler while some subscribed to Marxism and communism“, Mohd Shamsul said:

“Our candidates are not involved in any of those activities.”

“If it is true that any of us are involved, I think the police will be the first to investigate us.”

Abdul Hadi, in justifying the reason why Pas fielded its candidate in the seats which are contested by its ally in Pakatan said that the party wants to save the coalition from defecting members.

In a talk on Sunday night Abdul Hadi also said: “We received information that one of the candidates was a drug dealer who sold pil kuda (methamphetamine). We (PAS) cannot work with such candidates.”

Mohd Shamsul said he does not know the basis of Abdul Hadi’s remarks against PKR candidates.

“Everyone knows that the candidate selection process will go through various levels and discussions before it is approved by the party leadership. No party will field any candidates with flawed characters,” the 28-year-old candidate explained.

He added: “I am not sure what leads the Pas president to say that. I think our party leaders should discuss the matter with Pas because it will give bad impression on our party.”

Penang Pas youth won’t campaign unless asked

Meanwhile in Penang, Pas candidate for Sg Aceh, Mohd Yusni Mat Piah said the party youth wing election machinery will only focus on the party’s victory for the upcoming polls as Pas had decided to withdraw from Labuan parliamentary seat, Sg Aceh and Panti state seats..

“I don’t have any problem in giving way to the PKR candidate in Sg Aceh, but I don’t think there’s the need for us to campaign for them unless if they ask us to,” said Mohd Yusni.

Explaining his reason, Mohd Yusni said: “At this rate our priority is to ensure the victory of our youth party candidate, Afnan Hamimi for the Kepala Batas state seat.”

Asked about Abdul Hadi’s remarks on PKR candidates, the 39-year-old state leader said: “That you have to ask him yourself.”

“But for as long as I know Cikgu Bard (PKR candidate Badrul Hisham Shaharin), I don’t see he has any of those traits.”
